You've seen those great hand dyed fabrics. You've drooled over them - maybe even said, "I could do that!"! Now come learn how. Linda will show you how easy it is to dye in readily available containers. Linda will also show you several other ways to dye and marble your fabric, including various textures, color graduations and overdyes. Stamping & Painting with Fabric Dyes - 6 hour class, maximum 15 students
Class Fee: $42

Bring your own stamps, especially those you have made and borrow Linda's and come play with painting and stamping with procion fiber reactive dyes. We will cover many techniques of putting dye on fabric. This is a great way to make unique, one of a kind fabric in your colors. Class supply fee includes 3 yards of fabric ready to use, thickener for fabric dyes, 7 colors of dye, dye fixing mixture, and some synthrapol to wash fabrics out with. Linda will have many different textures (leaves, wire, string, rubber bands, washers.....) that you can borrow during the class, and you are encouraged to bring your own also.

Stamping & Painting with Fabric Paints - 6 hour class, maximum 15 students
Class Fee: $45

First you will make your own stamps, then use them with paints. Linda will help you learn how to make gorgeous sky fabric, and some fun textures as well. In class you will work with 100% cotton fabric and Setacolor transparent fabric paints. These are light activated, so you can get outlines of anything you want to lay on top! Class supply fee includes one stamp making kit, 3 yards of fabric, one pair of gloves, and 7 colors of paint in containers you can take home. Bring your own stamps, brushes, sponges & texture makers (see supply list) and get ready to play. Linda recommends bringing more washed fabric. You can paint over commercially printed fabrics too - if you don't like the color, paint it!

Design and Color Theory & Practice - 6 hour class, maximum 20 students
If terms like analogous, complimentary, hue, tint, and shade mean nothing to you and you want to learn how to make quilts that YOU like, here is your chance. In the morning we will look at and talk about traditional color theory and design elements. You will do hands-on exercises. You will learn why you like particular color/design choices, and how to choose fabrics and patterns that fit you. In the afternoon you will use one block pattern, one main fabric and background, lots of accents, and work with the concepts you have learned in class to design a quilt top.

Fabric Vases I or II - 6 hour class, maximum 20 students
